What Size Artwork Works Best in a Bedroom?

Scale should feel balanced and proportional to the bed. Aim for artwork around 60–75% of the width of the bed.

As a guide:

  • Artwork above a queen bed → around 100–120cm wide
  • Artwork above a king bed → around 120–140cm wide, or a pair of works

Leave around 15–25cm between the top of the bedhead and the bottom of the artwork. For a softer look, slightly smaller works can also be effective, particularly in more intimate spaces.
